A man was caught casually slapping a random passenger on a moving train at the Anugraha Narayan Road railway station in Bihar.
The viral video showed the YouTuber, identified as Ritesh Kumar, standing on the platform, reaching out and slapping a seated passenger who was easily approachable through the window. The man later admitted to doing it for social media fame.
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) swiftly responded after the video surfaced on social media, tracking down the YouTuber and arresting him.
Taking to X, the RPF said: “No compromise on passenger security!! A YouTuber who slapped a passenger on a moving train for social media fame has been tracked and arrested by RPF Dehri-on-Sone! Your safety matters to us—reckless acts will not be tolerated.”
During the police custody, Kumar issued a public apology through a video, realising that he made a mistake, all for boosting his follower count on Instagram.
“I am a YouTuber. I make and post videos on Instagram to increase my followers. I came to Anugraha Narayan Road railway station and, to boost my follower count slapped a passenger on a moving train. This was my mistake, and I won’t repeat it. Please forgive me,” he said.
The incident has sparked outrage among netizens, with the video garnering thousands of views and igniting heated discussions. One user condemned the act, stating, “What’s wrong with people nowadays? This isn’t entertainment—it’s harassment!” Another called for tougher measures, commenting, “Glad he was arrested! Hopefully, others will learn from this.”
