In an unusual incident, a woman booked an Ola Bike ride to travel just 180 metres. Reason: To avoid a pack of street dogs in her locality.
A short video captured by the bike rider has gone viral on social media. It shows the driver arriving at the pickup spot and asking the woman for the one-time password (OTP). After entering it, he saw the location was just 180 metres ahead.
This left the rider puzzled and he questioned the woman whether she had selected the right drop location. The woman said the destination was accurate, and she had opted for a ride just to avoid street dogs in the area.
The woman explained that she was scared of the street dogs and did not want to walk past them. Left highly amused by the reason, the driver nevertheless dropped off the woman at the spot and closed the trip. Her total fare was only Rs 19.
Netizens were left highly amused over the woman’s bizarre decision, while some complimented the driver for acting professionally and still giving her a lift. “Thank you brother for helping a girl feel safe…,” one netizen commented.
“Technologia,” another user commented. “It was better to pay Rs 19 than get an injection,” a third user wrote. “Ek bhi dog toh dikha nahi (Not a single dog was seen?)”, pointed out another individual.
