Justin Trudeau Resignations: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau resigned on Monday (January 6) after almost a decade-long rule. Because of this, the stir in political circles has intensified. Discussion has started about his successor. Prominent names like Anita Anand, Pierre Poulivre, Chrystia Freeland, and Mark Carney are emerging in the race for the next Prime Minister of Canada. Among these, Indian-origin leader Anita Anand is considered one of the strongest contenders due to her effective governance and good record of public service. If Anita Anand becomes the PM of Canada, then it can be expected that Canada’s relations with India can become good again, which came to its lowest level during the time of Trudeau.
There is a significant number of people of Indian origin in Canada. For this reason, a person of Indian origin becoming PM can give good signs for India. Earlier, during Trudeau’s reign, India was falsely accused of the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, after which the relations between the two countries deteriorated. The Canadian government did not present any concrete evidence in this regard. The result was that Trudeau’s relations with other leaders within the party deteriorated. Many people demanded his resignation.
