As soon as NTA Cuet UG will release the result of 2025, first you go to cuet.nta.nic.in and download your scorecard. Based on the score of CUET, more than 200 universities of the country, including central, state and private colleges, provide admission. But it is not enough to only score, every university has its eligibility criterion, merit rank, document verification, interview etc.

How is counseling?

After Cuet, every university opens its counseling portal. Here students have to register courses and colleges of their choice by registering. For admission in DU, registration has to be done by visiting ugadmission.uod.ac.in.

The university allotes round-wise seats based on score and preference under CSAS system. There are many rounds of counseling – first list, second list, spot round etc. Every time the cut off keeps decreasing.

What to do when less marks come?

• Analyze the cutoff: See how much the cutoff is in your favorite university and can you get a chance in the next round.
• Pay attention to low cutoff courses: Many colleges also have less cutoff for good courses.
• Wait for the spot round: When the seats remain vacant, then many universities do spot round or open counseling, this can be a good chance.
• Choose an alternative course: Vocational or certificate programs can also open the way for future upgrade.

Course first or college?

As much as the name of the college is necessary, the selection of courses is also important. College infrastructure and placements are important in professional courses (eg B.Tech, BBA). But interest and skills matter more in courses like Arts or Science. Try to prioritize the first course, because this is the foundation of your career.

Necessary advice

Check every university website daily. On getting a seat in counseling, lock the seat in time and complete the document verification. Submit the fees on time, otherwise the seat can be canceled.
