With the harvesting of wheat, crop residues have started in the fields, but if you too are thinking of setting fire to get rid of these remains, then be careful! This time it can be overwhelming to do this, because the Department of Agriculture is completely strict. A fine of up to 30 thousand rupees can be imposed for burning crop residue in Karnal district.
Do not burn the remains, do not increase the problem, the Karnal Agriculture Department is gearing up to give this message. 70 monitoring teams have been formed in the entire district by the department, which will not only make the farmers aware from village to village but will also monitor whether there is no fire in the fields.
Deputy Director of Agriculture Department, Dr. Wazir Singh informed that so far in Karnal district, the wheat crop has been registered on 4 lakh 5 thousand acres of land “my crop, my details” portal. The remains left in the fields after harvesting wheat are often burnt by farmers, which severely affect the environment. This reduces the fertility of the land, increases the risk of accidents and also causes air pollution. The government has given clear orders that burning crop residue is prohibited. Despite this, if a farmer ignores the rules, then a fine of up to Rs 30,000 will be charged from him.
This is the message
The teams of the Agriculture Department will not only monitor, but will also communicate with the farmers in the villages so that they can be told about alternative measures of remnant management. The department believes that awareness is the rescue, and if the farmers cooperate then it is possible to solve this serious problem. Do not burn fire, adopt solutions, the Agriculture Department is trying to reach every farmer with the same message. The department has appealed to all the farmers to take responsibility responsibly to protect the environment and the fertility of their land and avoid burning crop residues.
