In a widely shared video, an inebriated woman is seen grappling with security guards on New Year’s Eve in Koramangala, Bengaluru.

A woman, who appeared inebriated, was involved in a scuffle with two female security guards on New Year’s Eve in Bengaluru. A video showing the woman struggling to stand on her feet, collapsing to the ground and attempting to kick the officials has gone viral.

The unnamed woman can be seen lying on the curb and kicking the air as she continues to spar with the two. The video also captures a large crowd of people observing the drama play out in the street. A policeman and a couple of security guards in neon jackets encircle the woman, but nobody goes near her.

Shared on Instagram on January 1, 2025, the video has garnered over 1 lakh views so far. A lot of people are criticising the social media account for recording the woman without permission and sharing the footage.

A user wrote, “How are people being so insensitive? You shouldn’t upload this video without consent from her.”

Another commented, “Look at how shamelessly they are recording her.”

“Great work recording a drunk woman and posting it online to get likes, get a life seriously,” a user on Instagram said.

“It’s disgusting seeing this getting filmed with all the phone out. She’s lost control over herself, I agree. But look at all the jobless people recording her,” another stated.

Several others defended the people who took her footage, claiming that the woman was becoming a public nuisance and that it was a “law and order” issue.
