Donald Trump On Russia Sanctions: US President Donald Trump said on Friday (March 7) that the US was seriously considering the banking ban and tariffs on Russia until a ceasefire and peace agreement with Ukraine is done. Trump’s statement came when a reports on March 4 claimed that the Trump administration plans to restore Russia from restrictions to restore relations with Moscow and end war in Ukraine.

According to the March 4 report by Reuters, the White House had directed the Foreign and Finance Department to prepare a list of sanctions that could be discussed with Russian representatives. The purpose of this discussion was to improve diplomatic and economic relations with Moscow.

However, Trump’s plan was also criticized, it was said that after this decision of Trump, all the restrictions on Russia would be lifted. Many critics believed that the removal of sanctions could provide necessary financial assistance to Russia’s President Vladimir Putin to continue his military operations, which could obstruct peace talks with Ukraine. However, instead of giving relief, Trump has now announced more sanctions on Russia.
