‘Ummah came together and …’, Pakistan’s PM Shahbaz Sharif spoke to Muslim countries on Iran-Israeli war

Israel Iran War: The war between Iran and Israel has intensified. The Israeli army said on Saturday (June 14, 2025) that they are attacking many places in Iran. The IDF said that the campaign to target military and nuclear bases of the Islamic Republic is going on. Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif spoke to the President of Iran, Dr. Masood, Pageshkian.

He expressed the unwavering solidarity of Pakistan with Iran’s brother -in -law people amidst the Israeli attack. Sharif strongly condemned Iran’s sovereignty and violation of regional integrity, which is an insult to international law and United Nations Charter.

‘Ummah should work together to stop these serious violations’
Shahbaz Sharif said that the United Nations Security Council is grateful to President Page Seshakian for appreciating Pakistan’s obstinate and theoretical position. He further said that we agreed that the international community, especially Ummah, should work together to stop these serious violations.

‘Pakistan will protect Iran’s interests’
At the same time, Pakistan Defense Minister Khwaja Asif said on Saturday that Pakistan will protect the interests of Iran. Condemning the Israeli attack on Pakistan’s neighbor and brotherhood country during the Parliament session, the Defense Minister said that a meeting of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) should be called to initiate an initiative which reveals the unity of Muslim Ummah.

Asif said that Pakistan is adamant on its traditional attitude, as it has neither recognized nor established relations with it. Pakistan will protect Iran’s interests on all international forums including the United Nations.
