National Testing Agency (NTA) has today released the certificates for UGC NET June 2024 examination. This certificate is for those candidates who have qualified the UGC NET examination of June session. Now these candidates can download their certificate by visiting the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. To download, candidates have to enter their application number, date of birth and security pin.
The results were declared on 17 October
The results of UGC NET June 2024 were declared on October 17. A total of 1,70,734 candidates had cleared the examination and were declared successful for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship), Assistant Professor and PhD admissions. Through this examination, candidates have been selected for teaching and research posts across the country.
Conduct of rescheduled examination
UGC NET June 2024 exam was earlier conducted in OMR-based mode, but it was canceled due to paper leak. After this controversy the examination was re-conducted. The rescheduled exam was held between August 21 and September 5, 2024. During this period, out of total 11,21,225 registered candidates, 6,84,224 candidates appeared for the examination.
Importance of UGC NET Certificate
UGC NET certificate certifies that a candidate is now eligible to apply for teaching positions in various universities and colleges in India. Whereas, the candidates who have qualified for JRF will get the opportunity to do research in their chosen field. Along with this, they will also get the opportunity to get financial assistance through scholarship or fellowship. This exam is organized twice a year.
