Trump is just infamous! Joe Biden showed cruelty towards immigrants, made a record

Migrants Deport: More than 2,71,000 immigrants were deported from the US last fiscal year, according to a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency report released on Thursday, even as President Joe Biden promised to halt deportations in 2021. This change in the decision has been made in view of the increasing incidents of border crossing.

The number of immigrants released last year is the largest number of immigrants deported in nearly a decade, more than during President-elect Donald Trump’s first term. The flow of deportations carried out by the Biden administration appears to be an orderly process. This is revealed by the ICE report a few weeks before Trump took office.

82 percent of immigrants arrested by border officials

Most deportations in 2024 were related to illegal immigrants who were arrested by border officials, compared to those arrested in the interior of the country. About 82 percent of the immigrants deported were arrested by border officials.

Carolyn Leavitt, the incoming national press secretary for the incoming administration, said Biden’s deportation numbers pale in comparison to the number of illegal immigrants brought in during his presidency. “On Day One, President Trump will fix the immigration and national security nightmare that Joe Biden created by launching the largest mass deportation campaign of illegal criminals in the history of the United States,” he said.

Number of migrants at US-Mexico border at lowest level since 2020

According to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the number of migrants at the US-Mexico border has fallen to its lowest level since 2020. Although Trump has made mass deportations a cornerstone of his incoming administration, the immigration system is still “running rampant” over the budget, with a $230 million shortfall. Further reductions could mean Trump may have to delay his “mass deportation” plan.
