US Pauses Military Aid To Ukraine: The administration of former US President Donald Trump has stopped all military assistance to Ukraine, causing a major setback to Kiev. Ukrainian officials have strongly condemned the decision and described it as a step of weakening of Ukraine against Russia.

Ukraine said that this decision is equivalent to getting betrayal from a colleague and this will help Russia to bomb more citizens and kill them.

Ukraine warned that it is forcing us to surrender. In a statement to Reuters, the chairman of Ukraine’s Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee said, “Stopping aid can really create a serious crisis. It seems that the Trump administration is forcing us to surrender.”

White House rescue
A White House official said, “President Trump has clarified that his focus is on peace. We want to ensure that our help should be a part of a permanent solution, not the reason for lengthening the war.” However, according to the US newspaper New York Times report, the ban will affect hundreds of million dollars of military weapons and ammunition, which were to be sent to Ukraine.

Democrats’ sharp attack
Democrats in the US Congress have described the move as “illegal and dangerous”. The head of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Democrat MP Gregory Meux said, “My Republican colleagues called Putin a ‘war criminal’ and vowed to support Ukraine. Now he should pressurize President Trump to lift this devastating and illegal ban.”

Trump warns Jailonsky
In his statement, Trump also targeted the Ukrainian President Volodimir Jailonsky, saying, “Ukraine should be more grateful to help the US. If Jailonsky did not compromise with Moscow, he would not be able to stay in power for a long time.”

Ukraine’s answer
Ukraine’s President Volodimir Jailonsky reacted a restrained reaction to the decision, saying, “Ukraine wants to end the war as soon as possible, but that does not mean that we will bow to Russia without a strong security guarantee.” He reminded that Russia captured Crimea in 2014 due to lack of security guarantee.

Reaction of European allies
This assistance of America has also increased concern in European countries. Britain and France are allegedly exploring the possibility of a one -month ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. The next Chancellor of Germany, Frederick Murz, described Trump’s decision as “deliberately enlarged” and said it would encourage Russia and weaken Ukraine. France’s Europe Affairs Minister Benjamin Haddad said, “If you really want peace, the decision to stop Ukraine from giving weapons will only strengthen Russia’s side.”
