During this, Jinping shook hands with Anwar Ibrahim and then extended his hand towards his wife, but Van Aziza, wife of Malaysian PM, refused to join hands. He bowed his hands instead and then bowed his head in honor. Jinping was not ready for such a situation, he was surprised. Van Aziza definitely shook hands with Jinping’s wife.

Why did Malaysian PM’s wife not join hands with Jinping

There was no clear reason for not joining hands with Jinping. However, there may be a tradition or religious reason of Malaysia regarding this. Aziza is a senior politician of Malaysia. She has also been the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia from 2018 to 2020.
