United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador Abdulnasir Alshalhali said that the UAE visa on Arrival program for Indian citizens is a reflection of its permanent partnership with India.
India has become the basis of tourism success of UAE. According to an estimate, about 45 lakh Indians traveled to UAE in 2023. Indian passport holders with a legitimate residence permit from Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Republic and Singapore are eligible to get visa on arrow at all entry points of UAE.
According to the embassy, the extended eligibility implemented from February 13 is an important step in making the journey wider and simple. In a statement issued here, Ambassador Alshhali said, ‘The visa program for Indian citizens on the arrival of UAE is a reflection of our permanent partnership with India. This is a practical step that will make it easier for families to re -connect, cooperate for professionals and increase businesses beyond borders. ‘
He said, “As two dynamic and visionary nations, we are committed to building a more strong bridge between our people and economies.” A recent report by the Indo-UAE CEPA Council states that coordinated efforts to increase connectivity, streamline visa procedures and promote investment will ensure that tourism remains a major area of increasing economic relations between the two countries.
India-UAE bilateral relations are increasing in the last few years. Prime Minister in August 2015 Narendra Modi after the UAE’s historic visit, bilateral relations between the two countries were extended to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
In the year 2022, there was a major expansion in bilateral trade and investment relations after signing a comprehensive economic partnership agreement by both sides.
