Social media users are furious about an undated video that shows a woman in Maharashtra using her MG Astor to slowly push a traffic police officer. The precise location of the now-viral Reddit video has not been confirmed. The video opens with the traffic cop trying to stop the car from going forward by standing in front of it. The officer is forced to take a step back as the driver pushes the car forward despite him standing and blocking the way. As possible proof of the wrongdoing, the officer can be heard saying to someone, “Video bna,” asking people around to record the act.
Although the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet unknown, the act has sparked intense internet reactions. “What’s wrong with people, man?” the caption on Reddit read.

Shared on April 15, the video has garnered over 2,800 upvotes. Numerous users voiced their alarm at the increasing number of drivers disobeying traffic laws and contesting police authority.
A user said, “We need stricter laws to deter such reckless behaviour on the road.”
Another commented, “My mom has cautioned me to stay away from this kind of dangerous woman.”
“Licence udao iss mahila ka. She’s for the streets,” an individual on Reddit wrote.
“She is not getting arrested so I don’t think lady constable rule is applicable in this situation. …. But chalta hai, Feminism hai,” another remarked.
There were a few users who also criticised the woman badly.
“Charge her for an attempt to run over the cop. Let her spend the next 10 years fighting for it,” a user wrote, demanding strict action against the lady.
Another said, “Impound the car and suspend their licence. I think strict laws have to be formed, considering we are seeing more of these incidents nowadays.”
This incident is the most recent in a series of comparable instances of careless driving that have been caught on camera.
A Delhi-based video that went viral earlier showed a driver of a luxury SUV dragging a police officer on the bonnet after being pulled over for a traffic violation.
News agency PTI reported that the video, which went viral, depicted a startling event in which two traffic police officers on duty were allegedly struck by a car and dragged for around 20 meters in southwest Delhi.
