76th Republic Day Indonesia President : Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will visit India on a state visit on January 25-26, 2025 at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi. On his first visit to India as President, Prabowo Subianto will also be the chief guest at India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement saying, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi “On the invitation of President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia, he will pay a state visit to India from January 25-26, 2025 and President Prabowo Subianto will also be the Chief Guest of the 76th Republic Day celebrations of India.”
The Ministry of External Affairs further said, “India and Indonesia have a long standing warm and friendly relationship. As a comprehensive strategic partner, Indonesia is a vital pillar of India’s Act East Policy and Indo-Pacific perspective.” The Foreign Ministry said, “The upcoming state visit of President Prabowo will provide an opportunity for the leaders of the two countries to comprehensively review bilateral relations and discuss regional and global issues.”
There is no possibility of Subianto visiting Pakistan after India expressed concern
According to Pakistani media reports, Jakarta had planned the visit to Pakistan after the state visit of President Prabowo Subianto to India. However, after India expressed concern, Subianto is unlikely to visit Pakistan immediately after his visit to India.
India’s tradition of making world leaders the chief guests at Republic Day celebrations
It is noteworthy that every year in India, there is a tradition of inviting leaders of different countries of the world as chief guests in the Republic Day celebrations.
