Ahmedabad police faced a rough situation when they spotted a suspicious black car with tinted windows and no number plate. Upon attempting to stop the vehicle, the driver recklessly tried to run over officers, narrowly missing them. A viral video captured the car making a sudden U-turn to flee the checkpoint and driving dangerously through traffic. Despite the chaos, police successfully apprehended the driver and compelled him to issue a public apology for his actions.
Despite the police’s quick action and the man’s apology, social media users were not satisfied. Many felt that the apology was not enough and argued that the driver should be jailed for putting others’ lives at risk during the dangerous incident. Sharing the video, an X page wrote, “A car without a number plate escaped during a check on Sindhu Bhavan Road but was later caught by Ahmedabad Police. The HSRP number plate was installed on the car, and the owner issued a public apology.”

In a previous case, Ahmedabad police arrested 29-year-old Mehul Shah for impersonating an IAS officer to commit fraud. Shah used forged documents, including fake letters, to deceive individuals and amass substantial sums of money. Among his scams, he fabricated an appointment letter from the Ahmedabad District Education Officer (DEO) for a computer operator position. Additionally, Shah falsely claimed to be a school trustee and failed to pay Rs 7 lakh to a complainant for painting a school building.
