A video of a surprising and lavish event hosted by a family of beggars from Gujranwala, Pakistan, has gone viral on social media. The feast was held to observe the 40th day of their grandmother’s passing and was attended by almost 20,000 guests. What makes the celebration even more shocking is that the family, who claim to be beggars, reportedly spent around 1.25 Crore Pakistani rupees (approximately INR 38 lakh) on the celebration. For the feast, the family arranged Siri Paye, mutton, murabba, naan matar ganj (sweet rice), chicken, fruits and a variety of sweet dishes.
The news was initially shared by Pakistan’s local channel, ABN News. Later, the clip from the event started circulating on X. Thousands of people attended the ceremony. They also made arrangements of all kinds of meals including beef, chicken, matranjan, fruits, and sweet dishes.”
