It is difficult to remember and speak or write unusual words. Therefore, if someone wants to express his regret by trying more in his apology, he can use long and less common words.
Also, it is difficult to understand unusual words, which means that they are being spoken as well as the speakers. But it is usually not difficult to understand long words that are not uncommon.

I did two research to investigate the length of words and the role of equality of words in forgiveness. One in the real world analyzed forgiveness, and one in one tested people’s perceptions about forgiveness with different lengths and equality words.
What happened in this research?
In first research, I have 25 famous celebrities and 25 common people & lsquo; X & rsquo; (Earlier Twitter) used forgiveness messages. These messages were compared to the same users and tweets. My results revealed that the apology X message included long words compared to non-gap messages.
In the second research, I investigated whether people consider long or less common forgiveness to be more serious. Three sentences were given to the participants, which had the same meaning but the word length or word varied in equality.

Participants were given three sentences without any sequence (random) and they sorted them as the highest forgiveness sentences. The results showed that the participants classified long words sentences as a sentence with more forgiveness than short words. On the contrary, the general nature of the word did not impress how piercing the sentences seemed.
People use long words while apologizing
The combined results of both research are: people use long words while apologizing and see long words as more forgiveness. But apologies that use unusual words do not have the same effect. In other words, people express their regrets with such apologies that are difficult for them to say or write, but for those who are being said, it is not difficult to understand.
My research shows how we express messages not only through the meaning of the words we use but also through the form of words. Research also shows how the form of a word (in this case, its length) can express the meaning according to the context. That is, words & lsquo; character & rsquo; It does not normally have an apology meaning, but in terms of pardon, its length is a symbol of attempt and it can be interpreted as more repentance.
