In 2016, only 10000 metric tonnes of potato company was praised, which has been more than 4 lakh metric tonnes in 2025. That is, it has seen 40 times a boom.
Food is being supplied in 40 countries
Currently, Hyfun Foods exports 70 per cent of its business to Asia, European countries as well as a total of 40 countries including the US. The company exports other processed foods with French Fry, Hash Brown, Potato Flex and the company has set a target of export in 100 countries. MD of Highfan Foods – CEO Haresh Karamchandani, while revealing the secret of the growth of Foods Market, said that the era of Corona brought an opportunity in the disaster for him. Global supply-chain difficulties, lack of containers and other challenges, their businesses were great success in increasing exports. During the era of Corona, exports of potatoes and its associated frozen products from Europe declined. High Foods benefited from this. Walmart started giving priority to India. Apart from the US, Indian companies are exporting on a large scale in other Asian markets along with Gulf countries. Ukraine Russia also helped the company to grow its business due to the Russia war and what was to be done by 2030 was already done.
The company will move to UP, Madhya Pradesh
In the coming days for the benefits of farmers and expansion of the company, it will also turn to states like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar outside Gujarat for production. Also, not only potatoes will prepare frozen food products associated with other vegetables. Haresh has also said that along with potato, now his company will prepare a product for the processing of onion onion as well as all other vegetables, which will be taken to the people as per the need. They believe that this system will not only give more profits to the farmers, but the seasonal fluctuations in the market will save the loss to the farmers and the consumers will also get relief.
IPO will bring company
The company aims for a turnover of 5000 crores by 2030. Also, in view of the interest of investors, the company is also planning to raise money through the capital market in the next 2-3 years.
How potatoes changed the fate of farmers
The farmers told that earlier they had to face difficulties about the ups and downs of potato. But now they are making more profits while working with the company. Earlier, where the company was buying potatoes from the farmer for Rs 7.50 kg, now it is buying for Rs 13.50 per kg. This has helped the farmers of Gujarat to increase their income. Harish Karamchandani said, when the farmers used to sow potatoes earlier, they used to benefit sometimes. But due to contract forming, the income of farmers is constantly increasing. People were getting away from the farming, but due to the compacting of potato, due to this, people are paying attention to the option of farming on a large scale. Due to this, new employment opportunities are arising, then there is a decrease in migration from rural areas. And the waste of vegetables is also decreasing.
