Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar: Israel has finally recovered the body of one of its most dangerous enemies. Hamas’s military head Mohammad Sinwar was a long time in the hit list of Israeli intelligence agencies. He was killed on May 13 in a targeted air attack on Gaza European Hospital. Now the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) and security agency Shin Bet have confirmed that his body has been recovered from an underground tunnel located under the same hospital.
The conspiracy of October 7 was hatched with Yahya
49 -year -old Mohammad Sinwar was the same person who along with his brother Yahya Sinwar hatched the most fierce attack on Israel on 7 October. Yahya was killed by Israeli soldiers eight months ago. Both brothers were born in Khan Younis area of Gaza and were killed there. Mohammad Sinwar was also a part of the popular agreement in 2011, in which 1,027 Palestinian terrorists were released in lieu of the release of an Israeli soldier Giled Shalit.
Mohammad Sinwar was notorious for secret activities
Mohammad Sinwar had been running his activities in a very secret way for years. He did not even join his father’s funeral, so that no clue was found in his presence. But in recent months, Israeli intelligence agency Shin Bet discovered his activities and killed him by making an accurate plan.
A joint statement of IDF and Shin Bet stated that Sinwar’s body was found in an underground tunnel under the European Hospital in Gaza. During this operation, he was also killed along with Rafah Brigade Commander Mohammad Shabana, who was hiding in a command and control complex in the same tunnel.
During the search, many important items and intelligence documents related to Sinwar and Shabana have also been found, which have been sent for further investigation. The bodies of other terrorists have also been found in the tunnel, whose identification process is going on.
Israeli minister warning
The footage released by the IDF featured a corpse pulling out of the mouth of a tunnel wrapped in plastic bags, which was later confirmed as Sinwar. After this operation, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katj openly praised IDF and Shin Bet. He warned the rest of the Hamas leaders that leaders like Az al-Din al-Haddad and Khalil al-Haiya present in Qatar in Gaza will now be the next target.
In his statement, Katj wrote, “Now it has become official, Mohammad Sinwar and his associates have been finished in the European Hospital tunnel. He has now met his brother on the door of hell. Congratulations to him for this excellent action of IDF and Shin Bet.
In this attack, two other top leaders of Hamas were also killed along with Mohammad Sinwar- Mohammad Shabana, who was the commander of the Rafah Brigade and the Mahdi Kuar- who was a senior military officer.
There were a lot of attacks on 7 October
On 7 October 2023, Hamas carried out a tremendous attack on the Israeli border areas, killing at least 1,180 people and 252 Israeli and foreign nationals were taken hostage. So far, 32 of these 55 hostages have been feared to be killed.
This Israeli operation is part of the long campaign under which it is working on a strategy to find out the culprits of the October 7 attack one by one. The death of Mohammad Sinwar is considered a big success in this direction.
