Gaza reconstruction and rehabilitation scheme of Arab countries received support for France, Germany, UK, Italy

Gaza News: US President Donald Trump recently introduced a plan to rebuild Gaza. In this, Gaza was asked to make ‘Middle East Ka Riviera’. Under this scheme, Gaza has been evacuated and restored to the residents there in Egypt, Jordan and other countries.

Trump believes that Gaza is currently not habitable and can be renovated and developed as a tourism hub. In this episode, on March 4, a meeting of Arab League leaders was held in Egyptian capital Cairo, in which a plan has been agreed to reconstruct Gaza after the devastation of the war. The scheme has now also supported France, Germany, Italy and Britain.

Statement issued

Foreign Ministers from France, Germany, Italy and Britain said on Saturday (March 8, 2025) that they support the Arab -backed scheme for rebuilding Gaza, which will cost $ 53 billion and will prevent Palestinians from being displaced from the region.

The ministers said in a joint statement, “The plan shows a realistic way for the reconstruction of Gaza and promises that if it is implemented, there will be a rapid and permanent improvement in horrific life situations for the Palestinians living in Gaza.”

Egypt introduced plans

Recently, Egypt has presented a comprehensive plan for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, which aims to rebuild the area without displacing the residents there. The cost of this scheme has been estimated at around $ 53 billion and has received support from Arab League member countries.

The main point of the scheme:

Local administration changes: According to the Egyptian plan, an interim administrative committee will be formed in Gaza, which will include Palestinian technical experts. This committee will monitor humanitarian aid and reconstruction works, while Palestinian Authority will temporarily oversee this process.

Role of Hamas: It has been clarified in the plan that if Hamas controls the local regime, it will be difficult to get international support for the reconstruction of Gaza. Therefore, the need to remove Hamas from governance has been emphasized.

This scheme will be applicable in 3 phases

First phase: 3 billion dollars will be spent on Gaza. In this, the Committee of Technocrate of Palestine Authority will look into the management of reconstruction and rehabilitation of Gaza. In this, 2 lakh houses and 60 thousand buildings will be constructed in Gaza within 6 months.

Second phase: 20 billion dollars will cost. 4 lakh houses will be built. Work will be done on water, electricity, telecom, sewer line. Within 30 months, a plan to give home to the entire population of Gaza. Industrial area, FI Shing Port, Professional Port and Airport will be built.
