A similar incident occurred at an IT company in England. When a woman joined the company, a colleague claimed he could see the future. He made unsettling remarks to her, leading to a complaint, which ultimately resulted in his dismissal.
According to The Daily Starthe incident took place at Computacenter, a tech service provider in London. The employee, named Elric, had been working as an analyst for 14 years.
He often told colleagues that he could foresee the future through his dreams, and his predictions always came true. He recounted an incident where he had warned a woman not to jump into a canal, claiming she ignored him and later broke her leg. He also alleged that he once saved a child’s life by warning the mother of impending danger.
Elric claimed that he had two types of dreams: one predicting danger and the other related to relationships. He says that, in 2021, he started dreaming about a mysterious woman named Vanessa, who would assist him in tasks he struggled with. He even claimed to have spoken to his deceased sister, who told him he would meet such a woman in real life.
A year later, when a woman named Vanessa joined the company, he began telling her about these dreams – both in person and via messages. Vanessa found his behaviour unsettling and confided in a colleague, expressing that Elric made her uncomfortable. The situation escalated to the point where she felt genuinely frightened.
Eventually, Vanessa filed a complaint against him, which led to accusations of sexual harassment. The court clarified that Elric was not dismissed due to his beliefs but because of the inappropriate messages he sent to Vanessa.
