The Simpsons has become notorious for predicting real-life events. Now, people are talking about the show again because they think it predicted the cheating scandal of Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his company’s HR head, Kristin Cabot, during a Coldplay concert. Fans compared this to an episode from Season 28 – Kiss Kiss, where Homer and Marge appear on a kiss cam at a baseball game.
In the episode, Homer feels shy at first, but then kisses Marge. A photo circulating on social media looks similar to Andy and Kristin’s moment, while many believe the animated series predicted yet another scandal. It turns out the picture isn’t real. It was created using AI and not actually from the show.
Soon after the alleged Simpsons photos went viral, many people online started believing that the show’s predictions are always right.
Reacting to the post, a user asked, “Anything the Simpsons don’t know?”
One more added, “The Simpsons predicting the future YET AGAIN of the CEO at Coldplay situation.”
As of now, neither Coldplay nor the makers of The Simpsons have shared any official comment about the viral theory linking the show to the cheating scandal. On the other hand, Astronomer, the company led by Andy Byron, has released a statement. The company shared that they are aware of the situation and have started a formal investigation.
Taking to X (Formerly Twitter), the company stated, “Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability. The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly. Alyssa Stoddard was not at the event and no other employees were in the video. Andy Byron has not put out any statement; reports saying otherwise are all incorrect.”
