A bizarre video of a woman fighting with her neighbour over cleaning garbage has created a buzz on social media. In the clip posted on X (formerly Twitter), the two were captured engaging in a heated altercation in their courtyard. The woman, with a broom in her hand, was spotted sweeping garbage towards an adjacent house. A man suddenly came out of his home to confront her. The situation soon escalated. Visibly irked by the woman’s gesture, the man started throwing garbage at the entrance of her house.
Both appeared to be in no mood to give up. Amid their war of words, the woman started beating up the neighbour with her broom. The man was left fuming by the sudden attack. He then angrily pushed the woman, who collapsed on the ground.
Another lady rushed to their courtyard and tried to pacify the situation. Her efforts, however, went in vain as the “broom fight” continued till the end of the video. After the video surfaced on the X platform, many viewers dropped their reactions in the comment section.
One of the viewers quipped, “People are taking ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyaan’ too seriously.” “Are they cleaning their own house or making the neighbouring one dirty?” asked another.
“First, he tried only to sweep the floor not hit her. She hit him first with the broom so he simply used the broom and moved back. But when the lady got physical he used enough force to save himself which is correct,” explained a person.
Another viewer also criticised the woman for “taking the first shot”. A user was curious to know “who won between the two?” and requested the “second part” of their fight. Another sarcastically said, “When you realize the real fight was with the dust all along.”
One viewer humorously commented, “This should be called Mahabharata.” “This was before swords were invented,” added a person. Another felt it was just a “jhadu competition” that “got violent”. “Nothing but a neighbour thing,” added the third user. Since surfacing on the microblogging platform, the video has collected over 1,80,000 views and thousands of likes.
