Blue Origin created history, 6 women including pop star Katy Perry returned after visiting space

Blue Origin Mission: American Billionaire Jeff Bezos’s company Blue Origin has made history by successfully completing the mission NS-31. Under this mission, six female members including her fiancé Lauren Sanchez, pop star Katy Perry visited the space on Monday (14 April 2025). Blue Origin’s new Shepard rocket flew from West Texas. The rocket went up to an altitude of about 105 km, where passengers got experience of gravity for a few minutes. It was a 10 -minute completely automatic flight.

Mission completed in 11 minutes

American industrialist Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin Company rocket flew from the Wayne Horn Launch pad of 7 Bajettex on Monday evening and returned after about 11 minutes. During this time, the rocket traveled a total of 212 km. Apart from Katy Perry and Lauren, the women who went on this mission included TV presenter Gayle King, human rights activist Amanda Guayen, filmmaker Carian Flynn and former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe.

Katy Parry sang a song in space

Singer Katy Parry sang Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World song during the mission. TV presenter Gayle King gave this information. He said that the earth looked very special from above. Katy Perry looked emotional after coming back to earth from space. He also said that this was the most special experience for him after motherhood.

‘Never dream of becoming an astronaut’

According to CNN report, TV presenter Gayle King, who was part of this mission, said that she was scared and had never dreamed of becoming an astronaut, but she overcame her fear and was calm at the time of landing. Blue Origin spokesman Bill Kirkos said that some paid the rent for this mission, while some traveled for free.
