UPI New Rule 2025: The use of UPI i.e. Unified Payment Interface has increased rapidly in the country. But its rules are going to change in August 1. In such a situation, if you use it, then it is important for you to know this news. In fact, since August 1, you will not be able to check your balance more than fifty times through the UPI app in a day. From merchants to banks and users, these changes will be applicable.
Many rules in lieu of UPI
The time of auto-pay transactions (eg bill payment, EMI and subscription) on UPI will now be done in a fixed slot. According to reports, this time will be between 10 in the morning or between 1 pm to five in the evening. Apart from this, even after 9:30 pm, the slot will be fixed. This is being done so that the transactions will be able to take place faster and the load on the system will be less. If a transaction fails, then you can see its status in just three after the day. For this, there should be a gap of at least 90 seconds every time.
These rules will apply to all UPI users, whether they are Google Pay, Phone Pay or Paytm users. This year, there were two major incidents of system down in the months of March and April, due to which millions of users were upset.
What will be the effect?
Actually, there is no impact on common users of change in UPI rules. They will continue to pay or transfer other payments from daily bill payment to other payments as before. As before, they will be able to do one lakh rupees in a day. Also, there is a limit of up to five lakh rupees for education or payment related to health care. However, it will definitely be done now that since August 1, no UPI users will be able to check more than fifty times a day.
