According to experts, first of all the place for planting apricot tree will have to be selected with utmost importance. After that prepare pits for planting saplings at a distance of 15 to 18 cm. Because in apricot, the distance from plant to plant should be about 15 to 18 feet.
Soil preparation can be done in this way
It is being told that the pit should be about one meter deep. While planting saplings in the pit, the top soil should be poured down. The soil below has to be poured on top. Along with the soil, 10 kg cow dung manure, 50 grams DAP, 100 grams Nitrogen NPK and 100 grams of aggresor element should be mixed to meet the water deficiency. After that, saplings of good species have to be taken from any nursery and planted.

Earning will be for next 15 years
While planting, the cutting part should be kept above the soil. It has to be applied properly. After planting the sapling, it should be irrigated. To prevent weeds from growing quickly, dry grass should be mulched. If taken good care, apricot tree starts bearing fruits in about 3 years. This plant gives fruits for the next 15 years. One kg apricot is available in the market for around Rs 250 per kg. If farmers of hilly areas do apricot gardening, they can earn good profits from it.
