Russia Down US F-16: The Russian army has got a big success amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced two days ago that its force had killed American-designed F-16 fighter aircraft in Ukraine. However, Russia did not disclose the place. This is the first time Russia has announced to destroy the F-16.

The Russian Ministry said in its briefing, “An F-16 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force was killed by air defense means.” However, no more information was given about this. Earlier on Saturday (April 12, 2025), the Ukrainian Air Force reported the lost of one of its f-16 fighter aircraft. After this, an inter-departmental commission was formed to find out the reasons for the crash of the aircraft.

What weapon did Russia use to kill F-16?

BBC Ukraine quoted a Ukrainian formula as saying that F-16 was killed by the Russian army. Claimed, “Overall, the Russians fired three missiles on the aircraft. It was either an anti-ai-aerft missile directed by the S-400 ground-based system or the R-37 air-to-air missile.” This fighter jet is called the pride of America.

Pakistan has tension due to the destruction of F-16

Pakistan has come into tension since this claim of Russia. The news of killing the F-16 fighter aircraft from the Russian missile or S-400 air defense system may be a matter of concern and danger for Pakistan, as the neighboring country is dependent on the F-16 aircraft. Pakistan has about 85 F-16 fighter jets.

At the same time, India has bought 5S-400 defense systems from Russia and they have been deployed in Chandigarh and Gujarat keeping in mind Pakistan. If India wants, it can prevent Pakistan’s F-16 from flying. In such a situation, this news is going to get rid of Pakistan’s sweat.
