After completion of training, IAS are allotted their cadre to serve the probation period. After which an IAS is given a salary of Rs 1.5 lakh per month including all allowances.

In addition to the salary, IAS officers are also given facilities which are of very high standard. After clearing UPSC, an IAS officer is given his own house to live in.
