Indian film and television actress Amruta Khanvilkar recently purchased a new home in Mumbai, Maharashtra and performed a special puja on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. She personally participated in the rituals and even gave fans a glimpse of her new abode.

While designing the interiors, Amruta thoughtfully followed the principles of Vastu Shastra, taking guidance from experts to ensure every corner of the house brings positive energy.

In an interview with Rajshri Marathi, Amruta spoke about her previous houses and the journey to finding her current home. “This is my third house in Mumbai,” she shared. “The first one is where my mother currently lives. That’s essentially her home, and now it’s going to Nirvan and Nurvi” – referring to her sister’s children.

Talking about her second home, Amruta revealed, “The next house was in Lokhandwala. But we faced a lot of issues during Covid, and there were also Vastu-related problems. We were quite drained when we left that place.”

After that experience, Amruta became determined to buy her next home strictly following Vastu principles. “I consulted a Vastu expert who guided me on the right placement of rooms, colours, and décor. I followed everything as per his advice,” she said.

Amruta also revealed her favourite corner in the house. “There was one thing I was really adamant about—the dining table area. I wanted a mirror there. As an actress and dancer, I already have a lot of mirrors in the house, and I requested they allow one more in this corner. After considering it, they gave me the green light.”

She added, “I always feel that when you eat at the dining table, food multiplies. It brings happiness, abundance, and prosperity into the home.”
