Zuckerberg will reduce distance from Donald Trump! Facebook will spend 1 million dollars on swearing-in

Mark Zuckerberg: Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg-led company Meta will spend $1 million on the swearing-in ceremony of US President Donald Trump. This step of Zuckerberg is being considered as his attempt to get closer to Trump. Trump had once threatened to send Zuckerberg to jail. Zuckerberg had banned Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts following the violence at the White House after Trump lost the election in 2021. This ban was lifted after two years in 2023. Because of this, the relationship between Trump and Zuckerberg had deteriorated.

Mark Zuckerberg did not support Trump before the election. However, he praised Trump’s reaction to the deadly attack on Trump and also prayed for him. Despite this, Trump has been continuously attacking Zuckerberg verbally. During the 2024 election campaign, Trump called Zuckerberg for Zuckerberg in a post on his social media platform.

There has been a change in Zuckerberg’s stance

American media said on Thursday that Meta’s move symbolizes a change in Zuckerberg’s attitude towards Trump. As Republicans prepare to take control of both the White House and Congress, CEOs of tech companies are reimagining their strategies. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who has been critical of Trump, also recently congratulated him on his victory. Even before this, Zuckerberg has organized a private dinner at Mar-a-Lago to build closer relations with Trump.

On this occasion, senior Meta officials interacted with key people of the Trump administration, including his nominee for Secretary of State, Senator Marco Rubio. America’s tech industries have always been at odds with Republican leaders. Especially Trump has always been critical of social media platforms.
