Shramik League leader Sheikh Hasina’s party, Sheikh Zaheerul Islam, who was lodged in Ghazipur jail in Bangladesh, died under mysterious circumstances.

Even the police station doesn’t know on what charges the people were arrested
The game of power and might is going on under the rule of Yunus government of Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina and people associated with her party are being put to death in jail on one pretext or the other. The interesting thing is that even the local police station has no idea on what charges these people are being jailed.
Similarly, Shramik League leader Sheikh Zaheerul Islam, lodged in Ghazipur district jail, died mysteriously. Zaheerul Islam was a resident of Sindhighi village under Maona Union of Sripur sub district. He was the General Second of Sripur Sub District Unit. His father Mujibur Rahman and brother are also in jail. Surprisingly, even the Sripur police station in-charge does not know in which case Zaheerul was in jail.
Ghazipur Jail Superintendent told what were the allegations?
Ghazipur Jail Superintendent said that Shramik League leader Sheikh Zaheerul Islam was sent to Ghazipur jail through the court on December 6, 2024 in a murder case. His health suddenly deteriorated at 4:40 pm on Sunday (January 12) in Ghazipur District Jail. After this he was sent to the hospital for treatment, where he died.
It is noteworthy that till now neither any human rights organization has raised any hue and cry in this matter nor has the Yunus government issued any official statement.
