Yudhvir Singh appointed India manager for England Test series

Yudhvir Singh, a member of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) Board of Directors, has been named the manager of the Indian team for the upcoming tour of England.

Although reports suggested that newly appointed skipper Shubman Gill will be unavailable for the second warm-up game against England Lions in Northampton, with KL Rahul throwing his hat into the ring, Yudhvir said he was unaware of any development in this regard.

“I have not received any information yet. Once the Indian Premier League (IPL) is done, we will figure out if there are any changes to the squad,” the senior administrator told Sportstar.

Yudhvir has formerly served as the State association’s secretary and director. India will face England in a five-match Test series. The first five-day game will start at Leeds on June 20.
