If you were born in the 1900s or early in the 20th century, you once thought the year 2000 was far away. Now, a content creator has left everyone scared by claiming that we’re “exact halfway point in 2025″ and already closer to 2050. Those born in the 90s are still figuring life out, but already feel tired at times. What hits hard is how fast time is moving. The year 2000, which once seemed so far ahead, is now in the past, while the year 2050 is way closer.
While the content creator mentioned June 2 as the middle of 2025, the exact halfway point is July 2. Taking to Instagram, the creator said, “June 2nd is the exact halfway point in 2025. Which means that after today, we are closer to 2050 than 2000.”
Most people in the comments section began to panic after realising how quickly time was passing. Many of them felt that they were getting old and the thought hit them harder than expected.
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “All I heard is that I don’t have much time to still be alive.”
Another shared, “One of the minor signs of the day of judgment is that time will pass by faster every year. A year will be like a month. A month is like a week. A week is like a day. A date like an hour.”
“Thanks, I will have my 7th existential anxiety attack for the year,” a comment read.
An individual stated, “I’m 22 and you just gave me a midlife crisis and now I’m depressed.”
One more added, “Time really is flying faster than anything. I was not even born in the 2000s, I’m a 90s kid. So all of this is hitting even harder.”
An individual correcting the content creator’s math explained that if you count the total number of days between December 31, 2000 and January 1, 2050, it comes to 17,883 days. Half of that is 8,941.5 days. So, if you add 8,942 days to December 31, 2000, you land on July 1, 2025. This means from July 2, 2025, we are officially closer to the year 2050.
