A video from Delhi’s ever-buzzing Sarojini Nagar Market has gone viral — and no, it’s not because of fashion steals this time. Instead, it’s a full-blown street brawl between two women that’s taken the spotlight. The drama allegedly began over a dress. In the now-viral clip posted by an X user, one woman lands a shocking slap on the other, setting off a chaotic scene of flailing arms, furious yelling, wild hair-pulling, and exchanged punches — all in broad daylight, right in the middle of the crowded market.
The crowded lanes of Sarojini stood still for a moment as shocked shoppers paused mid-bargain to watch the drama.
Take a look at the now-viral video here:

In the background, someone can be heard pleading, “Ladies hain, chudao na,” hoping the fight would fizzle out. But the plea landed nowhere. Neither of the women looked ready to surrender. Even as a few onlookers cautiously stepped in to separate them, the scuffle only got more heated. No one was backing down.
While the exact cause behind the clash remains a bit of a mystery, the post claims the commotion began over a dress piece—probably the kind you hold onto like your life depends on it when it’s the last of its kind.
The internet had a field day reacting to the video. Some couldn’t stop laughing, joking about how “only in Sarojini can fashion turn into combat.” Others were more concerned, wondering how far people are willing to go in public over a few hundred rupees. One user wrote, “This is what happens when Zara fashion meets Delhi energy.” Another wrote, “Not the catwalk I expected at Sarojini, but okay.” There were, of course, a few who simply asked, “Did she at least get the dress in the end?”
As of now, there’s been no official word on whether any legal action has been taken.
Famous for its export-surplus fashion finds and bargain-heavy buzz, Sarojini Nagar Market has long been Delhi’s hotspot for affordable, trendy clothes. It’s a place where a keen eye and good haggling skills can get you a wardrobe refresh without burning a hole in your wallet – but evidently, a sharp elbow might come in handy too.
