PF amount is deducted differently depending on the salary. In many places, PF money is deducted only from the employee’s side, whereas in some companies, PF money is deducted from both the employee and the company’s side. That means, if your PF deducts Rs 1800 per month and the company also deposits Rs 1800 per month in your PF account, then your total money is getting deposited in your PF account every month Rs 3600. Now if you want to add the balance of 3 years then multiply 3600 by 12 and multiply the result by 3. This will be around Rs 129,600.
How to check balance
If you have been working for 3 years or more and your PF is being deducted continuously, then you can check the information about the money collected in your PF account from the EPFO website. For this you will have to go to EPFO website.
After this, go to ‘Our Services’ section and click on ‘For Employees’. Then click on ‘Member Passbook’ option. After this enter your UAN number and password. After doing this, you can see your passbook, where complete information about PF balance and deposited amount will be available.
How to get information through SMS and APP
If you want to check the balance of your PF account through SMS, then for this it is necessary to activate your UAN number. For this you have to type ‘EPFOHO UAN’ from your registered mobile number and send it to 7738299899. As soon as you do this, you will get information about PF balance through SMS.
Apart from this, you can also check your PF balance through missed call. For this you just have to give a missed call to 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number.
If you want to know the balance of your PF account through the app, then you will have to take the help of UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) app. In this app you have to select ‘EPFO’ option and then click on ‘Employee-Centric Services’. After this you will have to enter your UAN number and OTP. As soon as you do this, your PF passbook will open in front of you.
