However, it was not the case for this particular woman who chose to sit inside the car and record her friend who was visibly struggling with an apparently ‘malfunctioning’ petrol pump handle.
Viewers were enraged by a social media video that showed a woman watching her friend struggle to turn off a reportedly “malfunctioning” gas pump handle because the woman did nothing to fix the issue.
The user “Buddhika95″ posted the video on Reddit, which has received several reactions from online users.

One user commented, “Okay I’ll give the malfunction a pass, most people wouldn’t know what to do, but to chill there like you just woke up while your idiot friend chooses to FILM IT instead of help is a big ‘everyone sucks here’.”
“Nah, the parents need rework. Don’t blame the system that has been daycare for most people,” a second irate comment read.
“This should tell us that the education system needs a large rework,” a third user said.

Some questioned the woman’s “presence of mind,” but the majority highlighted how “situationally unaware” she was—sitting in the car as the fuel pump floor flooded was a serious hazard.
Some internet users also noted that the woman was more focused on obtaining a video, “possibly for internet likes and views.” However, the veracity of the video has not been established.
Although you can always count on your friends to support you in times of need, you should also remember that they will always laugh it off first, regardless of how bad things get.
