Astrology—the study of celestial objects and their impact on human lives—has been an inseparable part of Indian culture. This practice is increasingly finding its place in the digital age with apps like AstroTalk going immensely viral, offering convenience at your fingertips. However, a social media user recently took to the microblogging site X (formerly Twitter), sharing her experience with the app. The user, who is already married, decided to consult the AstroTalk app about her marriage and the response left her bewildered.
To her astonishment, the AI-powered platform predicted that she would be getting married within the next three years. When she confronted the person in the app, the astrologer abruptly disconnected the online chat.
“I gave in to the hype and installed Astrotalk. Got 10 minutes of free chat after signing up. Asked him at which age I’ll get married. He said after 3 years. I replied with: But I am already married. He ended the chat, and now I can’t use my remaining 5 free minutes,” the post read.

Responding to her, an X user said that astrology is a very interesting science that helps individuals make guided decisions. Agreeing with the user, the woman responded, “I am sure you are right, but the ones in Astrotalk are scamming people.”
Within hours of being shared, the post has spread like wildfire, amassing over 2 lakh views. Social media users promptly took to the comments section of the post to share their opinions. A majority of people backed the woman and alleged that the app answers according to one’s information mentioned, while others stated that the astrology might be true and maybe she re-marries her husband after 3 years.
“There are plenty of quakes these days fooling people with astrology. These days, plenty of astrologers have only half knowledge and they can fool people without any knowledge about the subject. It’s very rare to find a proper astrologer with experience,” read a comment.
“He didn’t have any real knowledge!” another added.
An individual posted, “They were fake, will answer according to your info and excitement. But with the hope we use it for the first time so that we get to know how things will be and all is quite an interesting and different experience.”
“Stars surprised by plot twist, should have predicted call-out,” posted a user.
Adding a tweak of humour, a user joked, “If I were the astrologer, I would have said you’re gonna remarry. Character maintain krne ka tha.”
“Maybe re-married after 3 years… reigniting your relationship with your husband. You never know,” echoed a few.
A user informed that the Astrotalk app had over 50 million downloads. The company has more than 13000+ Vedic astrologers, Numerologists, tarot readers and vastu experts, as per the official website. The company claims it provides “highly accurate, precise and well-researched astrological content.”
