
Prayagraj is considered a very holy place. There is a confluence of three holy rivers in Prayagraj. Kumbh is organized in Prayagraj, it is a holy place.

Prayagraj is also called Teerthraj. Teerthraj means king of pilgrimages. Prayagraj has been described as the best pilgrimage among all the pilgrimages. Prayagraj was also described in Brahma Purana.

In comparison to the superiority of all the pilgrimage places, Prayagraj was placed on one scale and all the pilgrimage places were placed on the other scale. As a result, Prayagraj had the upper hand.

Prayagraj is called the husband of Saptapuris. Prayag is the hero of pilgrimages and his queen is Kashi. Lord Brahma had performed Dashashwamedha Yagya here for the creation of the universe. The symbol of superiority of Prayagraj is found in many Puranas and texts.

During Mahakumbh, people come to the Sangam site and take bath. The three holy rivers meet at the confluence point. Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati, due to which this place is also called Triveni Sangam.

Lord Vishnu is present in the form of Madhav in Prayagraj. The sins of many births are destroyed by taking the Mahakumbh bath in Prayagraj.
