External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “China is our close neighbor, with which boundaries are uncertain. This is a major factor in relationships. We have a situation in front of us where China and India are different, because there are only two countries with more than one billion people, they are quite different in terms of two civilizations. They have developed parallel in a way. China had already started its modernization from us. India should have done this in the beginning.

Why India and China have a complex relationship

Referring to India and China, the Foreign Minister said, “Everyone is emerging power and they are creating a new balance between the world. When two emerging powers are neighbors, it becomes very difficult to balance. So it is an incredibly complex matrix and has different dimensions. India-China is quite different in terms of economic, trade and dimensions. For this reason, when you see the relationship between India and China, it is much more complicated than it seems.

What did Jaishankar say about Pakistan

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said on Tuesday that India will not bow down to any kind of nuclear blackmail. The country believes in zero tolerance towards terrorism in all forms and expressions. Jaishankar said in Brussels, “This is not really a conflict between the two countries. This is actually the answer to the danger and terrorism practice. So I would urge you not to think of it as India-Pakistan, think of it as India and ‘terrorist’, you will understand.”
