Who was Tegh Bahadur?
The childhood name of Guru Tegh Bahadur, born from Mata Nanki’s womb on 21 April 1621 in Amritsar, was Tyagamal, who sacrificed religion and ideals. At the age of just 14, he showed valor in the war against the Mughal attack with his father and impressed by his valor, his father named him ‘Tegh Bahadur’ (rich in sword). To spread the message of Sikhism, Guru Tegh Bahadur traveled on a large scale in India and established many new sermon centers.
