Google Case: A new problem has arisen in front of Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, one of the world’s largest tech companies. A court in the financial capital Mumbai has issued a contempt notice to Google CEO Sundar Pichai. This notice has been issued due to Google’s video streaming giant platform YouTube not following the court order on a video.
Why notice to Sundar Pichai
Actually, the court had earlier ordered YouTube to remove the allegedly defamatory video targeting NGO Dhyan Foundation and its founder Yogi Ashwini and YouTube has not complied with this earlier order, due to which Sundar Pichai has to face this notice. Have to do it. The next hearing of the case filed by Dhyan Foundation against Google-owned YouTube will be on January 3, 2025.
Why contempt action should not be initiated against Sundar Pichai – Mumbai Court
The Additional Chief Justice of the court has asked why contempt action should not be initiated against Sundar Pichai for contempt of the court and not following its earlier order. In fact, despite the order to remove the video, the video titled ‘Pakhandi Baba’s Act’ can still be seen outside India.
Dhyan Foundation claimed in its petition that Google-owned YouTube has deliberately not removed the objectionable video. Due to this, efforts are being made to tarnish the reputation of the NGO and its founder, whereas his organization is an NGO focusing on animal welfare. Google has deliberately harmed the impeccable character and reputation of Dhyan Foundation and Yogi Ashwini Ji. For this, Google was adopting the strategy of delay and was asking for postponement on small grounds.
