Why did Madhu reject Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Suryavansham’? After years, the reason for being away from Bollywood

Madhoo On Leaving Bollywood: Actress Madhu made her Bollywood debut in the year 1991 with Ajay Devgan’s film Phool Aur Kaante. But after 20 years of Bollywood career, the actress disappeared from Bollywood and became active in the South film industry. Madhu also got an offer of Amitabh Bachchan’s film but the actress rejected. Now after years, Madhu has given the reason for making distance from Bollywood and rejecting Big B’s film.

In an interview to Lehran Retro, Madhu said- ‘As of 1997, I started feeling dissatisfied. I was no longer excited about my work. After working with authentic, emotional directors in South, it seemed strange to return to projects that lacked honesty. I started being depressed before going to the set. The thing that I ever wanted the most, being on the film set, I started getting irritated.

Why did Madhu reject Amitabh Bachchan’s film?
Madhu further told that he got an offer of a film by Amitabh Bachchan. Then the actress was going to get married and she rejected this offer. Madhu told- ‘This was a big film with Mr. Bachchan, which was later done by Soundarya. My wedding date was fixed and I told my secretary that I do not want to do this. They asked me to think again, but I was adamant.
