Saif Ali Khan: Mumbai Police has taken into custody the suspect who entered Saif Ali Khan’s house and carried out a fatal attack on him. The name of the detained person is Akash Kailash Kannaujiya, whose age is about 31 years. Police caught this person while traveling by train.
How did the police succeed in catching the suspect?
Inspector of Durg RPF Post received information at 12:24 am from Assistant Police Inspector of Juhu Police Station that the person suspected of attack on Saif Ali Khan was traveling by train number 12101 Gyaneshwari Express. The tower location and photo of the suspect was also shared.
Know the complete timeline of arresting the suspect
- The train Gyaneshwari Express in which the suspect was sitting was between Gondia and Rajnandgaon station at that time. The Durg Post Commander immediately informed the Rajnandgaon Post Commander and sent the photo-tower location.
- After this the suspect was not found in Rajnandgaon.
- Two teams were formed at Durg station.
- On arrival of the train, the suspect was booked into IPF S.K. in the front general compartment number 199317/C. Sinha, constable Shriram Meena and woman constable Nirmala traced.
- The suspect’s photo was sent to Mumbai Police, who confirmed his identity.
- The suspect was brought to Durg RPF post and contacted Mumbai Police officials through video call.
- A team of Mumbai Police reached Raipur tonight and took the suspect into custody. Presently the suspect has been kept in Durg RPF post. This action has been successful due to the coordination of Mumbai Police and RPF.
The attacker had entered Saif Ali Khan’s house
On the night of 16 January, the attacker entered Saif’s house and had a scuffle with his nursing staff. In which his finger got injured. After this, the attacker also attacked Saif Ali Khan, who reached there after hearing the scream, with a knife 6 times, in which Saif Ali Khan got badly injured. After this the attacker ran away from there.
Saif was immediately admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. Where after treatment the doctor has declared his health to be fine now. According to doctors, Saif may be discharged soon.
