
For the first time in Noida, a woman officer has been given the command of the District Magistrate (DM). IAS Medha Rupam has been appointed by the Uttar Pradesh government as DM of Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida). Earlier, this responsibility was with Manish Verma, who has now been sent to Prayagraj. Many big projects of Noida are expected to gain speed with the arrival of Medha Rupam, which is counted among the fast-paced officers.
Medha Rupam is a 2014 batch IAS officer. She is originally from Agra but has completed her studies from Kerala. Interestingly, Medha is topping not only in studies but also in sports. She has won three gold medals in the state level shooting competition and has also reached the national level.

Medha Rupam’s association with administration is not a coincidence. His father Gyanesh Kumar Gupta is currently the Chief Election Commissioner of India. In such a situation, Medha got a chance to see and understand the administrative world from childhood. He took inspiration from his father UPSC Passed the Civil Services Examination and became a successful officer.

Medha Rupam was first posted as Assistant Magistrate in Bareilly. After this, he has worked in many important positions in districts like Meerut, Unnao, Barabanki, Hapur and Kasganj. She has also been Special Secretary in Women Welfare Department and Additional Chief Executive Officer in Greater Noida.
private life
Medha met her husband Manish Verma at Lal Bahadur Shastri Administrative Academy in Mussoorie, where both were training. Later both of them got married and now two children are parents.
Work on big projects of Noida
Even before becoming DM, Medha Rupam has worked on big projects like Jewar Airport and Film City Project. Both these schemes are included in the dream projects of UP government. In such a situation, it is believed that under his leadership these projects will be carried forward further.
