Influencer Diipa Buller-Khosla is ecstatic after Unilever Ventures led a $5 million fundraising round for her beauty brand, Inde Wild (stylised indē wild). The influencer, born in India, expressed her happiness on Instagram on March 9, describing the news as a turning point in her quest to establish an international Indian brand.
For Diipa Khosla, Inde Wild’s $5 million line expansion is also a vindication moment. According to the beauty and lifestyle blogger, investors deemed the brand “too small” or “too niche” to invest in when she first launched it in 2021. “But thanks to you, we proved them wrong,” she informed her Instagram followers and customers.

In the US, she now intends to introduce the brand at Sephora. “Three years ago, we started with one vision: to build a global Indian brand that felt just as at home in Mumbai as in New York or London,” she captioned her post.
“Today, with a $5M seed extension led by Unilever Ventures, we’re gearing up for our biggest milestone yet – expanding our Sephora partnership and launching in the US next year!” she added.
Diipa added in her post that the brand has experienced remarkable growth, with a 400 per cent year-over-year increase in India and a 500 per cent global retail growth. As of 2024, it is the fastest-growing premium hair and skin brand on Nykaa and Tira, selling one unit every minute.
The fundraising round was led by Unilever Ventures, with participation from current backers SoGal Ventures and True, according to Entrepreneur India, a monthly business magazine.
Who is Diipa Buller-Khosla?
Diipa Buller-Khosla is a fashion and beauty blogger who was born in India. After studying international human rights law in Amsterdam, she went on to London to earn a master’s degree. She was the first Indian influencer to appear on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet in 2018. She and her spouse, Dutch diplomat Oleg Buller, have residences in Mumbai and Amsterdam.
Diipa started her beauty brand, Indē Wild, in October 2021, taking inspiration from her personal skincare journey and her mother’s job as an Ayurvedic doctor. The company is renowned for its combination of contemporary science and Ayurvedic customs, which they refer to as “Ayurvedistry.”
