A video of spiritual leader Swami Rambhadracharya asking ten-year-old spiritual orator Abhinav Arora to leave the stage, not once but twice, has been going viral on social media. In response to the viral video, Arora said that such petty incidents should not be treated as matters of national interest. He also mentioned that while his guru scolded him, he was later called into his room and received his blessings.
Video that made him famous
Arora first went viral after a video of him crying in front of a Ganpati idol was shared online. In the video, he is crying inconsolably while offering laddoos to the Ganesha idol before the visarjan, repeatedly pleading, “Jaldi aana (come soon).”
What sparked controversy around him?
He found himself at the centre of controversy after the YouTube channel “Only Desi” released two videos on him. The videos suggest that Arora is coached by his father for interviews, as he often repeats the same answers word-for-word, with even his intonation remaining identical across different interviews.
In one of the videos, Ankit shared moments when Arora was caught off guard by unexpected questions and struggled to respond because his father hadn’t prepared him with an answer.
During one podcast appearance, the host asked Arora, “When you look at someone, what thoughts come to your mind?” Despite claiming to have embarked on a spiritual path following a natural calling toward Hindu deities, Arora struggled to respond. For nearly a minute, he remained silent, awkwardly smiling without providing an answer.
In another interview conducted over a video call, Arora was asked whether he feels bothered when people request selfies with him. He struggled to answer, frequently glancing at someone off-screen before eventually saying no. At one point, he was also seen whispering, “Kya bolun? (What should I say?)” while seeking guidance on how to respond to another question.
But, who is Abhinav Arora?
Abhinav Arora is a spiritual content creator from Delhi who claims that his spiritual journey began when he was just three years old.
He has over 9.5 lakh followers on Instagram. As per his Instagram bio, he is India’s youngest spiritual orator who was honoured by Cabinet Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Arora also runs a YouTube channel and a Facebook page where he shares spiritual content, divine stories, and teachings centred around Krishna Bhakti.
The ten-year-old is the son of entrepreneur, author and TEDx speaker Tarun Raj Arora.
Arora’s day starts early, at 3:30 am. He wakes up during Brahma muhurta and reads the rosary. At 4 am, he performs pooja at home, followed by the Tulsi Puja Parikrama and offering “Bhog” to Bal Gopal at 6:30 am.
Apart from his spiritual routine, Arora attends school in Delhi. In a video, he mentioned that his classmates often avoid sitting with him because he greets them with “Radhe Radhe” or “Jai Shree Krishna”.
In an old video, Arora shared that although his mother does not eat non-vegetarian food, she still cooks chicken for him. However, in recent interviews, he has taken a stronger stance on vegetarianism, asking viewers if they could imagine chopping off a loved one’s fingers and eating them.
