Sameera married Akshay Varde in the year 2014. The actress has recently revealed that even before marriage, she used to spend nights with Akshay at his house. In such a situation, her future mother-in-law Manjari Varde had said something to her which Sameera was surprised to hear.
Sameera Reddy often makes funny reels with her mother-in-law Manjari Varde, which shows the bond between them. Now in a recent interview given to YouTube channel Lxme, Sameera talked about her relationship with her mother-in-law. She tells that even when she went on dates, Akshay used to bring his mother along.
‘You guys are 30 years old, I’m not stupid’
Sameera Reddy said, ‘It was very strange, very easy from the beginning. He had no problem if I spent the night there. I was 32 years old, Akshay was 30 years old and she used to say that you guys are 30 years old, I am not stupid. The interesting thing was that she was very traditional and yet she was also very open-minded. This combination was a bit confusing for me too. There was no pretense there.
Sameera’s mother-in-law used to accompany her on dates
The actress further said- ‘Akshay used to bring her on our dates and this is something which I could not do. He used to say that do you know that my mother is alone, she is divorced. So on weekends, the first six months of my life, I had mom for movies. He said no, I have to take my mother to the movie. I was saying what are we doing?
