US Chief Justice John Roberts will administer the oath of office to Trump for his second term.

- Before being sworn in, Trump will lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery on Sunday.

- 5 a.m.: Security screening will begin at the National Mall for attendees.
- 9:30 a.m.: Live performances will take place on the West Lawn of the Capitol, including Carrie Underwood singing America the Beautiful.
- The President-elect and his family will attend services at Johns Episcopal Church near the White House.
- Tea will be organized for the Biden and Trump families at the White House.
- After this, Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence will go to the US Capitol Building for the swearing-in ceremony.
- At 12 noon (about 10:30 pm Indian time) the Chief Justice will officially administer the oath to Trump.

- The President’s parade will proceed to the White House via Pennsylvania Avenue, which will include military regiments, marching bands and floats.
