What is the Egyptian plan about Gaza Strip, which got the support of OIC countries

OIC Against On Trump Gaza Plan: The Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) has supported the antiquity presented by the Arab League against US President Donald Trump’s controversial plan to capture Gaza during an emergency meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The 57-member group of OIC approved the Gaza Reconstruction Scheme proposed by Egypt in this meeting.

In this proposal prepared by Egypt, it is proposed to reconstruct the Gaza Strip under the administration of the Palestinian Authority. Under this scheme, efforts are being made to seek support from the international community. Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelti said that the proposal has now become a Arab-Islamic plan, which requires extensive support.

Donald Trump’s controversial plan
Donald Trump suggested to capture Gaza and make it “Riviera of Middle East”, calling for Palestinian residents to be displaced in Egypt or Jordan. The scheme has promoted global outrage, and it has been rejected by Arab countries.

OIC support and further step
Egypt has asked the international communities, such as the European Union, Japan, Russia, and China to seek support for the scheme. This scheme can become an international plan if it is adopted by these major global parties. OC has also expressed its commitment to give it wide support.

Syria returns to OC
Along with this, OC has also re -included Syria, which was suspended during the Civil War in 2012. This decision is considered an important step towards bringing Syria back to the international community as an independent and just state.
